LGBTQ Health Awareness Town Hall

The 20th National LGBTQ Health Awareness Week will be held March 21-25, 2022, and IAJE is participating this year by hosting a town hall webinar to talk about HIV awareness and mental health among LGBTQ immigrants, Indigenous folks, and Latinx folks. This being the first year we are participating, we want to send our communities a very simple message: Queer and Trans folks have always existed, and when borders were drawn over the land, they were also drawn over sexuality and gender. Our guest speakers are Li An Sanchez, Executive Director of Community Estrella and José Romero, HIV advocate. This event will be primarily in Spanish, so please register for English interpretation.
